bidwall

A Million Dollar Homepage alternative

The Million Dollar Homepage, launched in 2005, sold blocks of pixels on one page. Bidwall borrows the idea of paying for a visible spot and changes how the space is shared.

Fixed blocks versus a living wall

On a fixed grid, the space you buy stays the same size forever. On Bidwall, size is relative: photo_size = photo_bid / highest_bid. The top bid is always the biggest tile, and the whole wall rescales when someone outbids the leader.

Competition instead of a one-time sale

Because sizes depend on the leader, the wall keeps moving. Anyone can raise their bid from their management link to grow, and the leaderboard and activity feed show who took the top spot and when.

Links, rank and real statistics

Each tile can carry a title, a caption, a category and an https link. Owners see how many visitor sessions opened their tile and clicked their link, plus their rank and share of the wall.

No accounts

You do not create a profile. Your private management link is the only way to raise your bid, edit your details or delete your tile, so you save it when you pay.

What stays the same

It is still a public experiment about what attention is worth. Bids are final and non-refundable, content that breaks the Terms can be removed, and nothing about views or clicks is guaranteed.

Questions

How is Bidwall different from the Million Dollar Homepage?

Tile size is relative to the highest bid and keeps changing, owners can raise their bid, and there is a live leaderboard with real statistics for each tile.

Do links on Bidwall pass SEO value?

No. Links are marked nofollow ugc, so treat a tile as a visible placement rather than a ranking tactic.
